Award Literature
• To plan and document their activities in the different sections of the Award, young people use the corresponding Record Book Sheets.

• The English edition of the German Award handbook is called Award Basics.

• For the Expeditions section, Award Units can use the UK DofE's Expedition Guide instead of the (German) Expeditionsführer.

Wild Country Areas
Like in the UK, for Gold Practise Expeditions and Gold Expeditions by foot, by bicycle and on horseback specified Wild Country Areas have to be used.
